What's up Wednesday

Hello!

What I'm Reading

If you saw yesterday's post I mentioned difficult reads. One of them being WINTERGIRLS. I never finished it but after that I got the strength to read books with self and outside harm.

Recently I finished reading DreamlandDreamland by Sarah Dessen

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The writing was really good. The sisters, parents and close friends she created were really great, too. I highlighted a lot of quotes. Yet the plot itself was disturbing.

I'm almost done with THE PROPHET by Khalil Gibran.

What I'm Writing

I am participating in OctPoWriMo. I am starting to get an idea and plan for NaNoWriMo.

What Else I'm Up To

Other than that, check out the cool update.

Love and thank you,

Fida

Oh gosh I LOOOVE Dreamland. It is one of my favorite Sarah Dessen books. I'm sorry you didn't love it as much as I did but I hope you get to This Lullaby, Someone Like You, The Truth about Forever, because those are my faves of hers. =) Have a great week!

Congrats on your cool update! And also, did you change your blog look? I like it! Very simple and clean.

Good luck with planning for NaNo! I can't believe it's already that time of year!

Yours is the third recommendation for Sarah Dessen that I've heard in the last 24 hours. Clearly the book gods are trying to tell me something. Thanks for the rec! Congratulations on so many years of being a published poet, too!

The Tortured Poets Analysis

Personal Interpretation of The Tortured Poets  Dear readers, I enjoy reading a song and analyzing the lyrics. I love being able to detect the story she's telling while also interpreting it. I develop my own personal connection. Here's a breakdown why some of the lyrics have become my favorite. no one here to blame, what about your quiet treason. the betrayal brought her depression and she’s attempting to move on but the forced energy isn’t healing. It's about struggling with a traumatic situation alone because no one noticed the changes in you. The narrator is envious of those living peaceful lives and frustrated that friends found better people to be with. I've seen this episode and still loved the show, I've read this one where you come undone, I chose this cyclone with you. Depending on the perspective you choose it's about the guilt and regret for getting in your own way or willing to stay with someone through their mental illness. The voices in his head cal...
