Thursday Turnout: IndieReCon and More!

Hello readers! I hope there are some new readers, if yes, thank you! With today having been the last day of IndieReCon, I'm sad. Yet I'm glad it was my first online conference, no make that my first conference ever to go to. I really enjoyed it and I learned a lot these past three days. I'm more of a person that gets in touch with my emotions. On day one I was really excited about everything minus me worried about money (which didn't come until the end of the day). I thought maybe I can have a sponsor. Putting my question out there I got responses and heard of crowd funding (after this I'm going to check this out with my mom). At our second chat at the end of day two we talked about marketing. (If you read the posts, you'll know more about what I'm saying next). I haven't been on wattpad since I first made it when heather was in a contest for her first book. In the beginning of this year I got off the tumblr and instagram bandwagons. Yet after

Indie Kissing Blogfest

Hello readers, As a Muslim girl I'm not allowed to have a relationship with the opposite gender so on that note, we are not allowed to touch definitely not kiss But as a girl you can help to dream what ifs What if I waited in the hall for him before class, would we have kissed? what if after telling purple is my favorite color and he said he wore it for me would we have kissed? What if after he thanked me for helping explaining someone instead of an air high five, we kissed? What if after he brought me a box of tissues and I froze after our hands touched, with my head down I lifted it up and we kissed? What if after he called my name he caught up to me and we kissed? I try to dismiss these what ifs cuz the most special kiss is the one you hold for a special someone after so many years only for that person. So what if you thought I missed out I see myself as a pearl to be found. P.S. Here's the linky to everyone participating: -Fida Isla

Book Review: The Secret of Spruce Knoll

Hello readers, The first time I read it was for a contest on wattpad. Today I read for the first time since then. The prologue is new to me. I now know of Eren's parents' death, it was full of suspense; the same kind when I read Born Of Fire - the novella of Aiden's parents' death. I also did a mini-review recently. The first few chapters were familiar. Passing those chapters the rest became new. Yet I still clung to every word. I could relate to Eren being sensitive and nature loving. Like I said about Born of Fire, I think it's cool to feel and see not only your own but other people's energy. I like that she is an artist. I liked all the small things and big things. Family, jewelry, custody. Those are the only hints I'm giving. You need to read the book, too! I didn't want the book to end, yet I know there are two more books in the series: Channeler's Choice and Rise of a Rector. Again, enjoy! -Fida Islaih {all writing is copyrighte

Not So Winners, Inspiration, and Self-Pubbed Books

Hello readers, Sorry for posting so late today. I thought I could go somewhere with a contest. But apparently not. So before I get upset let's get to my topics. Today on Kristy's blog is a Write. Be. Series and today is an inspiration. To me anything and everything is inspiration. I just had a chat with WritersRoad about inspiration. It was awesome! You should join if you haven't already. Other than that, I'm participating in this month's TCWT blog chain. The prompt: “Choose one self-published book to read, then briefly review it or talk about your experiences reading it." I have read self-published books. It's not any different from traditionally published books. As of my little knowledge most self-published books are only in e-book format. And some come free because the authors like to test different genres. Or at least that's what I think. Correct me if I'm wrong. The first self-published book I've read is 'Born of Fire'
