On Repetition in Poetry

Hello Poetteers,

I love repetition in poetry. Here is the top five reasons why:
  1. Emphasizes on an important or just specific point
  2. Brings a poem in full circle
  3. It's a transition point
  4. With one sentence in two different stanzas you can show opposite directions
  5. It looks pretty
Do you agree with the reasons I gave? Is there a reason I didn't mention that I should know of?

Thank you,

I think you pretty much got it all. I very much adore repetition in poetry, as long as it lends to the specific symmetry and rhythm of the piece.
