Hello Poetteers,
Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I love the poetry scattered through out, that writing and humming them kept her going. We get to experience the war zone, the life of flying planes and a concentration camp. We are able to see her help others and recover from her own struggles.
Hot Pink in the City by Medeia Sharif
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
It makes the story interesting when there is multiple conflicts going on. It makes it more relatable. We all have an inner conflict going on while dealing with an outer conflict.
Winter by Marissa Meyer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is the longest and last installment of the series. I loved it. There were seems that made me cry and some made me laugh. Some made me laugh because you knew it was going to happen since it is retellings of some fairytales. I love how the author went with it. It came unexpected and felt new. The story kept me in suspense especially when the crew is separated but I'm happy it all ended well. Though, the ending itself is unexpected and bittersweet.
Love,
Fida
