Annual Look At My Bucket List

Hello Poetteers,

I've written and published poetry collections. I've written a novel in verse before. My next step is to write one that is publishable.

On my blog, I've shared my poetry bucket list. Initially, I was able to cross two things off my list:
  1. Publish a poetry collection (I self-published two books, A TO Z POETRY and HER OLIVES)
  2. Lead a poetry workshop (I co-lead one at a camp)
A couple years later I was able to cross off half my list:
  1. I've done live performances at the camps I've been to. I'm also doing some recorded pieces on SoundCloud.
  2. I made my first poetry short film this week and will be sharing it in the coming days.
  3. If you have seen my tweets I am working on being a poetry editor.
Today I can cross two more things off my list:
  1. I've met several poets virtually
  2. I have an ebook poetry collection.
That's 8 out 11 things. I say that's pretty awesome! I'm also working to cross of a 9th item: I'm slowly working my way to write a poem in every format.

The last two things still left untouched are making a spoken word album and doing my own poetry book signing. Today I want to add the 3 more items to my bucket list:
  1. Write a play in verse.
  2. Get published in hardcover
  3. Get translated into Arabic
I hope to change that by the end of this year. What do you have on your bookish bucket list? What have you crossed off? What should I add to mine?

Thank you,

Fida

Way to knock down that list! I've got a big one knocked off the list today. And the completion of my first trilogy was HUGE. Beyond that, I'm just trying to survive kids and chaos. Here's to reaching our goals!

Hello readers, What I'm Reading : I got and read two e-Arcs. 1. Behind the Stars by Leigh T Moore. I gave it 5 stars. The synopsis was left vague which left the story to be unexpected. 2. The Attic of Sand and Secrets by Medeia Sharif. I gave it 4 stars. I love the mystery. I love the diversity. Also, I finally... for the first time, got to read THRONE OF GLASS by Sarah J Maas!! I gave it 5 stars. You will find more in depth reviews on goodreads . What I'm Writing : I'm in that two week slump for NaNoWriMo. This weekend I was at 17k. It's been three days and I'm at 18k. Hopefully better days are coming. Lists are very helpfully. I recently learned one way to revise your novel is to write one line about each page you have. It's timely but you get to see what you character or plot point is missing. What Else : Got an award from Jessica at Lunatic Poet , thank you! I have to give seven facts and pass it on to some of my favorite bloggers. - I've been blogging f

What's up Wed: Blog Tour Day 3

Hello readers, What I'm Reading CROWN OF MIDNIGHT! The first book was already great but this second book kicked it up a notch with the OMG! moments. What I'm Writing : I'm keeping on with NaNoWriMo at 28k! In between I'm switching back and forth between two stories: Reading Deciding Hijab after a long break. I forgot about her short conversation about a school dance club. I didn't even put in a scene of her joining after the conversation. More revisions to come. The other story is one I have a sneak peak on Wattpad . What Else : It's day three of belated Hugs & Kisses blog tour. Earlier this month Medeia reviewed my book . If you have read it or is planning to read it I would love to see your review on goodreads ! Poetry Prompt : Write about the feeling reading gives you. a Rafflecopter giveaway Love, Fida # Poetteers
