It's 2012!

Assalamu Alaikum sisters!

It's the first day of 2012. Before I get to it, I'd like to say I didn't post about looking over 2011 cuz what I wrote was too personal. Way more than my poems. I know, shock. 2011 has been a year of bad changes in me, and towards the end is the only time I realized why.

So may 2012 bring much more light to me and you. My moment as the years changed was clasped hands, in hope. Alhamdulillah!

New Year

It's New Years Eve
hours tick by
it's New Years!

As the minute changes
my hands clasp in hope
for so much...

but the most of all, through both days
I tell myself
I won't shed any tears...

not for all the bad that's happened
not for the good I'm leave
not for that fact of change
not for anything.

All I'm doing is hoping
telling myself

I won't shed any tears, today.

@Falho: Ameen! And thank you! (:
i know we're over a fortnight into the new year but Fida, my lovely, the realisation at the end of your year, in my opinion, is the beauty. I really do hope this change will bring out an even stronger, even more beautiful Fida, if that's even possible <3. Much love and I find that there can be a lot of time between the times I read something of yours or hear from you, but when we 'speak' again, we're just like old friends. InshaAllah meet you in this life and the hereafter. <3 (:

What's up Wednesday

Hello readers, What I'm Reading : I got and read two e-Arcs. 1. Behind the Stars by Leigh T Moore. I gave it 5 stars. The synopsis was left vague which left the story to be unexpected. 2. The Attic of Sand and Secrets by Medeia Sharif. I gave it 4 stars. I love the mystery. I love the diversity. Also, I finally... for the first time, got to read THRONE OF GLASS by Sarah J Maas!! I gave it 5 stars. You will find more in depth reviews on goodreads . What I'm Writing : I'm in that two week slump for NaNoWriMo. This weekend I was at 17k. It's been three days and I'm at 18k. Hopefully better days are coming. Lists are very helpfully. I recently learned one way to revise your novel is to write one line about each page you have. It's timely but you get to see what you character or plot point is missing. What Else : Got an award from Jessica at Lunatic Poet , thank you! I have to give seven facts and pass it on to some of my favorite bloggers. - I've been blogging f

What's up Wed: Blog Tour Day 3

Hello readers, What I'm Reading CROWN OF MIDNIGHT! The first book was already great but this second book kicked it up a notch with the OMG! moments. What I'm Writing : I'm keeping on with NaNoWriMo at 28k! In between I'm switching back and forth between two stories: Reading Deciding Hijab after a long break. I forgot about her short conversation about a school dance club. I didn't even put in a scene of her joining after the conversation. More revisions to come. The other story is one I have a sneak peak on Wattpad . What Else : It's day three of belated Hugs & Kisses blog tour. Earlier this month Medeia reviewed my book . If you have read it or is planning to read it I would love to see your review on goodreads ! Poetry Prompt : Write about the feeling reading gives you. a Rafflecopter giveaway Love, Fida # Poetteers
