Week 1: Keep on Writing

Hello readers,

Okay, it's been the first week of NaNoWriMo. I still haven't written much, but I'm getting there... 2,010 words. Since it's the end of the week and you know November also brings the Poem a Day challenge... I decided to leave you off with a poem, enjoy:

In Containment

People may feel boxed in
following the life everyone wants you to have but...
Special and creative people like me
have my own path
reaching out to things others can't.

(written on Nov. 4, 2010)

thank you,
Fida

Wsalaam sister Fida. Masha'Allah that is such a lovely poem and so true! Indeed we all have our ambitions and the individual paths that each of us want to take in order to become just our own person, expressing ourselves and doing the things we love.
Congrats on getting so far on your NaNoWriMo novel. I would have taken part too on NaNoWriMo but I have seriously important mock exams coming up in a weeks time so I've been studying like crazyy. Insha'Allah wish me luck sister and keep me in your du'as. My final year of high school is so important. :(
But I'm just going to stick to my current novel 'Life of Laila' which I'm just posting chapters to on my blog. Definately let me know what you think and I'd love to hear your feedback!
by the way, your blog is looking awesome. I love your three different pages on 'Journal', 'About the author' and 'Publications'
AND Jazakhallah for adding me on your awesome reads.
Tk care sis.

Wasalaam sister!
Your very welcome. Motiviation is something that strives you to move forward. Insha'Allah I know you'll reach your goal! :)
I'm glad your enjoying the story. It's on hold again though because of my exams. There are just way too many breaks between my story. I'm finding it challenging to take time out to just write for the story along with keeping up with school.
Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier just finished the first week of my mocks, alhamdulilah going well so far but indeed stressful. So happy they end this following week but Monday and tuesday are those final exams which are extreamly important. Please keep me in your du'as. Jazakhallah.
Thanx for the tip! I'm trying to take many breaks as I can and keep up with the fruit too. lol. :)

What's up Wednesday

Hello readers, What I'm Reading : I got and read two e-Arcs. 1. Behind the Stars by Leigh T Moore. I gave it 5 stars. The synopsis was left vague which left the story to be unexpected. 2. The Attic of Sand and Secrets by Medeia Sharif. I gave it 4 stars. I love the mystery. I love the diversity. Also, I finally... for the first time, got to read THRONE OF GLASS by Sarah J Maas!! I gave it 5 stars. You will find more in depth reviews on goodreads . What I'm Writing : I'm in that two week slump for NaNoWriMo. This weekend I was at 17k. It's been three days and I'm at 18k. Hopefully better days are coming. Lists are very helpfully. I recently learned one way to revise your novel is to write one line about each page you have. It's timely but you get to see what you character or plot point is missing. What Else : Got an award from Jessica at Lunatic Poet , thank you! I have to give seven facts and pass it on to some of my favorite bloggers. - I've been blogging f

What's up Wed: Blog Tour Day 3

Hello readers, What I'm Reading CROWN OF MIDNIGHT! The first book was already great but this second book kicked it up a notch with the OMG! moments. What I'm Writing : I'm keeping on with NaNoWriMo at 28k! In between I'm switching back and forth between two stories: Reading Deciding Hijab after a long break. The other story is one I have a sneak peak on Wattpad . What Else : It's day three of belated Hugs & Kisses blog tour. Earlier this month Medeia reviewed my book . If you have read it or is planning to read it I would love to see your review on goodreads ! Poetry Prompt : Write about the feeling reading gives you. a Rafflecopter giveaway Love, Fida # Poetteers
