Monday Blessings: Sisterhood

Hello readers,

Beautiful souls
Scenic views
All that those two can do

Take me under their wing
treat me like a sister
bring balance in me

Care for me, help me
understand me
listen to me

Give me hugs
and gentle touches
kisses on the cheek
wipe away my tears
make me smile and laugh

Reflect on our faith
on the life we have.

Poem - My True Love Gave to Me

Hello readers,

If you follow me on tumblr you would have seen this poem come together. Enjoy!

On the seventh day
of the holidays
my true love gave to me

seven skies to watch
six scarves to keep me warm
five olives to eat
four hugs and kisses to receive
three balloons floating in the air
two birds flying for peace
and the alphabet.

What's up Wednesday: Mid Dec

Hello readers,

I have not done any writing but I did read a bit. I read Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, Girl Boss and I'm currently reading Rebels By Accident.

I did do some more outlining for a couple stories. Mostly deciding small filler scenes that will add some more emotion to the stories.

Other than that, I won't be posting next week. So happy holidays!

A Poetry Challenge

Hello readers,

The book I chose was MORNINGS IN JENIN. My numbers are 6, 17, 93, 90, and 48:

A nobody
little bundle
to broad shoulders
his passing

The crowd thinned
the broken heart

The people hear
comprehend and said
a good cook as you
the news everyday

Brought to her
frightened, wounded
time passed

A malady
bent over the dinner table
spoke of
don't you die?

What's up Wednesday: December!

Hello readers,

I haven't read anything after finishing HEIR OF FIRE last week. I haven't written anything for any novels. I have stuck with writing mini poems.

I have made this awesome pic to promote my poetry book this holiday:

But we can't forget this awesomeness!

I'm excited to host the Cover Reveal of Prophecy of the Six, Book Two of the Prophecy Breakers series by Sheena Boekweg, Melanie Crouse, and Sabrina West. The cover was designed by Darren Boekweg of Boekweg Books Publishing and Cover Design.

About Prophecy of the Six

We didn't know how much we had to gain by being infected with magic. We found a purpose, we found a destiny, and we found each other.

But California isn’t the new start we were promised. Dr. Child may be gone, but now we must face a military school, dangerous secrets, and a prophecy that has half the country wanting us dead. When the line between enemies and allies blurs, Sam, Juliette, Ana and I need to choose between love and sanity, between magic and survival.

Paradise has a cost. When the authorities are suddenly giving you whatever you want, they’re going to demand everything in return. And that’s a price not all of us are strong enough to pay.
Freedom feels like safety, but it’s not. There are no walls here. No place they won’t be coming for us.

No place we won’t destroy.

About Alchemy

Book 1 in the Prophecy Breakers series
We didn’t know how much we had to lose until we were infected with magic. Sam was in love, Juliette was the main caretaker for her siblings, and Ana and her dad planned the best parties in New York. But we lost it all when we were shipped to Chebeague, an exclusive school for newly infected mages.
Everyone knows about the mages, those who survive the infection and end up with magical abilities. We’ve seen the power of magic, the high-paying jobs, and the world fame. But we never saw the cost. We didn’t know we’d be forced to give up everything: sanity, family, even the right to talk on the phone.
We didn’t know mage was just another word for prisoner.
In 2014, Alchemy was named on of the top 50 self-published books worth reading. On December 8,9, and 10th you can buy it for free here. For a limited time, Funny Tragic, Crazy Magic and Hidden Magic are also available for free.

About the Authors

Sheena Boekweg, Melanie Crouse, and Sabrina West met online, (which isn't as weird as it used to be) and blog together at Their first collaborative project, Alchemy (Prophecy Breakers #1), was voted one of the top fifty self published novels worth reading by Indie Authorland.

Sheena Boekweg is the author of Funny Tragic Crazy Magic, and The Waxling (forthcoming). She is a mom of three from Utah and is prepared to survive a zombie apocalypse.

As a mom of four, Melanie Crouse thinks that parenthood is exactly like a zombie apocalypse. Melanie Crouse is the author of excuse notes, thank you cards, and the novel Hidden Magic.

Sabrina West is a writer and wildlife biologist living in San Diego, California. Her short fiction has appeared in markets such as Cover of Darkness; Strange, Weird and Wonderful Magazine; and Kayelle Press’s Night Terrors Anthology.

Poem - Blessings

Late to you
not late to me
when I don't know

Never too late or too early
to feel blessed
for the friends
who make you fearless

Never late or early
for a dance or two

Never too late or too early
for the miracles
brought by angels on earth
angels in heaven

By the One.

Poem - She's Here

I hear the garage and thought someone closed it
I hear a woman's voice and thought
it was my sister
I see my brother and thought
I saw a sneaky smile
I hear him and thought
he said a stranger is here
I'm scared and thought no
I'm excited and thought
to creep down
I'm happy and thought smiles
She's here.

What's up Wednesday: it's December!

Hello readers,

I finished HEIR OF FIRE. Glad we still got to read POVs from the guys. That we got to meet Aedion and Rowan. I didn't love but did like seeing Manon's pov even though I don't get it. I might have a clue about it. The cliffhanger is killing me and I have to wait about a year for the next book.

If you did see Monday's post I won NaNoWriMo two days early! I'm outlining KALEIDOSCOPE, so that it will be easier to see the plot holes. My goal is to finish that today.

Also, PitMad is tomorrow and I might participate in that with the different story.

Monday Blessings #34: Dec Ed!

Hello readers,

Happy 1st of December!

This year has gone by too fast. But I'm happy with how it has gone.

And this past month I participated in NaNoWriMo and actually won it for the first time and two days early, shocker, right?!

Later this month I get to celebrate this blog's 6th birthday, wowza!

That's all for now,

Love, Fida
