Counting to D by Kate Scott

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I would give this book more than five stars if I could. This is a unique story. A concept I think hasn't been done before. (I have not read a profound amount of books, yet).

I'm glad she has a close friend that pushes her and another that reads to her. And I love her number tactic. I love all three girls and their little quirks. I love that she quickly found a group in her new school. I can't wait to see how this nerd group goes. I already thought Nate was cute. He got cuter when he accepted her dyslexia. And has a love for books and poetry. I can relate to him, me being the quiet one.

I myself love poetry and puzzles. I myself am living with a learning/physical disability. This book spoke to me as it helped me relate and take advice.

You may hide from the truth, but once you reveal it you realize who your real friends are and not many of them will leave you. I love her bravery.

I'm a sensitive girl and scenes in this book made me cry. I really see myself with these special ed students. I remember back in high school I used to help them just like she read to Yesenia.

And I love the great Gatsby references. I love the surprise of finding a friend in a girl you didn't expect to be with.

Every few pages/chapters I read I had to stop to comprehend it all. I love this book! I'm sure it'll leave me with a hangover.

What's up Wed: Blog Tour Day 3

Hello readers, What I'm Reading CROWN OF MIDNIGHT! The first book was already great but this second book kicked it up a notch with the OMG! moments. What I'm Writing : I'm keeping on with NaNoWriMo at 28k! In between I'm switching back and forth between two stories: Reading Deciding Hijab after a long break. I forgot about her short conversation about a school dance club. I didn't even put in a scene of her joining after the conversation. More revisions to come.
