This Might Explain...

Hello readers,

Escape

I get no break
I have no escape
except in my thoughts
blocking everything out
and thinking of Allah.

I have no escape
unless I find silence
and stay there

like in nature
seeing, feeling
makes me calm
and helps me find my peace.

In Allah, is my only refuge.

(written Sept 20, 11)

thank you,
Fida

Masha'Allah, this is WONDERFUL!!!
Today, my nephews and I had a blue balloon that we wanted to set free in the sky and when we did I kept looking at the balloon as it made it's way up and up and up. . .it was during that moment just looking up at the beautiful sky and seeing how tiny the balloon was getting that I found so much peace and it made me feel so much closer to the Creator. What a lovely moment!

This is beautifully written, I have loved reading your poetry since following your blog :)

I was also wondering if you could help me out? I just want to reach out to you and see if you can help vote and promote my competition entry to become a presenter which has been a dream of mine. It would be great if you could help and it only takes 2 seconds. Thank you very much if you do. Here is the link - battlefront. co. uk/competitions/entry/4618/vote

Lovely to read you again Fida - your poem express the true way to find peace in this busy world - getting closer to God is the only place where we can freely breath, knowing we are protected.
Stay well!

Publishers That Publish Poetry Books

Hello Poetteers, As I was doing my own research for poetry publishers this question popped up on my feed: Does anyone know any publishers that publish poetry books? Later on, while hosting #PoetteerChat I asked what everyone’s plan is for a year from now. Most of you said to be published. I promised a list of publishers, so here’s the top 7 I found. Along with the publisher, I will mention the poets they represent. I want to work with someone I can trust. Seeing familiar names makes them more trustable in my opinion. Andrew McMeel - has published Amanda Lovelace, Lang Leav, Rupi Kaur and more.  Dancing Girl Press - has published our very own Amanda N. Butler.  Bottlecap Press - has published Courtney LeBlanc  Button Poetry - has published Olivia Gatwood, Sierra DeMulder and more.  Two Sylvias Press - has published Jeannine Hall Gailey, Kelli Russell Agodon, Martha Silano and more.  Write Bloody - has published Sarah Kay, Andrea Gibson and more.
